South West Cues (SW-JF90) - 1990 Jerry Franklin era 6 pt. Macassar ebony, Bird's-eye, 3 shafts

A beautiful pre-date South West, made in 1990 during the Jerry Franklin era. In addition to the two original shafts, a third shaft was made for the cue by South West earlier this year. The cue was also refinished and rewrapped in the South West shop at that time; the butt is in �ike new�condition.

Six points of East Indian Macassar ebony, three long and three short, are inlaid in a bird's-eye maple forearm. A bird's-eye maple band and a short black butt cap compliment the Macassar ebony butt sleeve. A ring of maple and black linen phenolic with the South West signature 7-3 slot design decorates the base of the butt sleeve (C-ring) and the black micarta joint and shaft collars (D & E). The flat-faced wood-to-wood joint has South West's trademark 3/8-11 brass joint pin. The cue is finished with a new white with double-black speck Irish linen wrap, matching the original.

Three 3-5/8 oz. shafts with Triangle tips, full 4-piece set of joint protectors:
Shaft #1: original, 12.5 mm tip, micarta ferrule;
Shaft #2: original, 12.5 mm tip, micarta ferrule;
Shaft #3: new, 13 mm tip, melamine ferrule, immaculate.
The original shafts are played and have chalk stains, but are smooth as glass with no dings or dents.

The cue will come with a Certificate of Authenticity from Laurie Franklin, and the original invoice for the new shaft and refinishing.
